new things

This week has gone by pretty quickly. Work is still annoying and lame! I can't believe I have worked there for 12 years. I was thinking that I have done so many different things there. It is not a hard job, it just is a job. I hate thinking about it, talking about, worrying about. Ok, enough about that.

Peyton is a pro at crawling now. She doesn't like to be still or just be held anymore. She has to go explore! The other day she was crawling toward a spot on the kitchen floor that was a light reflected from the blinds. She got to it and out her face down and licked it! She really has learned a little too much from Barry. I picked her up from the babysitter's house the other day, and she actually gave me a hug! A big hug! I love that. She is such a sweet girl. I hope she stays this sweet!

Sean will be 40 on the 18th. I want to do something special, but he doesn't really get into birthdays. It should be an eventful one though. I'm sure he would love to go see a game, but living in Memphis there aren't any pro teams.

my first blog ever

Well, here it goes. I have never blogged nor have I read a blog. (except for the Moore Diaries!) I just felt inspired to do this. I guess I'll just write about my day today.

Sean and I took Peyton to the Memphis Zoo today. It was the free day, but I didn't think it was crowded at all. We saw all the animals, except the reptiles (yuck). Peyton didn't notice much other than the people! She did get excited about the polar bears though. Maybe they reminded her of her Barry! It was such a nice day out, I'm glad we were outside.

We came home and Barry and Peyton are playing on the floor. They really love each other. I hope this lasts. We went to the park yesterday and another mom was telling me that her dog doesn't get along with her 10 month old. That would be very sad!

I have been on a little vacation since Thursday. I still have one more day. I really cherish the days that I get to spend all day with my girl! It is still hard leaving her when I have to work. But I know she is in good hands. God's hands. I really have been thinking a lot about how God has blessed me with a wonderful family. It is really easy to get wrapped up in day to day life. I do try to stop and thank God for what He has given me.  Thankfulness is such an act of worship. "Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire." Heb 12:28-29
